Year in review (in photos!)

I had so much going on this past year in my life; I can't even begin to get into it.  So many changes, most for the better.  I've really started to get more sewing and crafting time in the past few months, and I think I am putting it to good use.  I feel so much more productive than in years past.  I am really cherishing my very limited creative time and trying to squeeze everything I can out of every minute.

Last year's goals were mostly achieved; even though I changed some plans I think I exceeded my own expectations!

Costume:

The only costume event we had this year was Halloween.  We were a rocket ship and shooting star.

Modern clothes:

Of course, my big project was my new wool coat.

I made a few skirts.

And a couple new summer dresses.

An apron!

I experimented with knit fabrics on my new serger and made leggings and a few t-shirts.

F got a hat, some new pants, and a dress.

Knitting:

Cherie Amour

Kernel

Stripey Turn a Square hat

Retrograde

Crafts:

Chair cushions.

A few sets of greeting cards.

A few bags.

A b-day banner.

And of course, a crinkle bean.

It is not exhaustive; I left out a lot of little things. These are the big projects and the ones I really liked. There were a lot of things I wanted to get to this year but couldn't, but I think I did a lot and I am satisfied.

Wow!!! You did fantastic! I didn't do squat the first year I had Elijah. You really should be proud of yourself.

I love all your modern clothes. The red sweater is just amazing, and the black/white/green purse is so cool!

Thanks! I really had to make a point of carving out creative time for myself, and I did so much better at the end of the year than the beginning.
