things

I've been in a kind of a hiding-under-a-rock mood lately.  I've been working on Ms. Teal's skirts and going on quests for good pillow forms (synthetic - never again!  it's down forever!).  I went to the library last week and took sketches of several embroidered pieces in the 19-teens arts and crafts style, then modifed a couple to make a design for my pillow.  I bought threads and created a color scheme, but that's about it.  

I've been kind of distracted by Stupid Real Life - weeding the garden, cleaning the house, making beer (ok, that one's not stupid or boring, but it's not sewing!) as well as the persitant desire to loaf and read books.  Oh yeah, I went out and bought the entire Narnia series last week (I haven't read them since I was in 4th grade) and I got completely sucked in.  Still, though, it's frustrating how much time all the simple little necessary actions take up.  After all the eating, washing, getting dressed, keeping the house tidy, doing dishes, cooking, etc. that needs to be done in a day, it hardly feels like I have any time at all. I probably sleep too much.

There's about one month left until I need to have my state fair stuff ready (hah!) and would like to have Ms. Teal's project and the new dance dresses ready.
