Another random craft project

First, I just wanted to thank everybody who left comments on my last post - I was really bummed and it was nice to get such understanding replies.  Thanks!

I started this little box yesterday.  I was mostly following the instructions in a book I picked up at Sixth Chamber books the other day, I don't have it in front of me, but I think it's called Beginners Guide to Embroidered Boxes.

Anyway, today I put on the gold trim and finished the box!

I really like the way it turned out!  I don't know what I'm going to put in it, though.  (Earrings? Buttons? Fertility charms?)

Now that I've figured out the method, I'm going to make another one, bigger, in blue, for a surprise present for my HB.
