I finished a few lingering projects last week, and yesterday I decided to abandon one, so today I'm thinking about some of my upcoming projects.
Rest of week (okay, that's only today and tomorrow, but whatever):
- Finish red silk lobster bustle, the one that was meant to match the red silk corset. I have this cut out and ready to go.
- Plain shift for 1700s, I just want something simple, square-necked, that won't show out of the corners of my bodice.
Next week:
- Natural Form petticoats (2). I have Big Plans for a natural form dress for spring.
- New tablecloths and napkins for my dining room. Boring, but all the napkins I made a few years ago have holes now.
Other things:
- Sweater: the bulky bolero. I think I will start swatching for this soon, because I gave up on an embroidery project (I decided it was silly to devote a lot of time to embroidering dupioni, which isn't very durable) and now I don't have a sitting-on-the-couch-in-the-evenings project.
That's about it for now. Of course, I always have my long, long list of plans; I think I'm going to spend some time thinking about what big projects I want to do for the next year. I'll share that later, when I figure it out more.
Off to the sewing room!
