file cabinet love
Dec. 9th, 2008 09:06 amI went out and got a new file cabinet over the weekend, and most of my time since then has been spent re-organizing the sewing room.
It's enormous! 4 drawers, 25" deep. I can keep all my sewing patterns in there, so I'm using the small plastic tote which formerly held half the patterns to store embroidery threads now. The trickle-down effect of this is that I got to throw away an old shoebox. The other half of the patterns were in plastic file-boxes, and those got demoted to the basement. It also has room for my papercrafting papers and household files.
Of course I immediately made a bunch of new magnets to stick on it! I had some nice clippings of dress patterns and fashion plates from old catalogs that have been magnetized.
In sewing, I almost finished the jeans last week when I ran out of navy blue thread. I only got around to getting more last night, so today I want to finish the jeans. I also want to get some knitting in; I started my resistor and I still need to embroider the capacitor's face.
Also, snow, snow, and more snow has been happening here. We must have about 5" accumulated by now. It's so pretty! And I'm having such a good time shoveling my sidewalks! The cold air just makes me feel so alive.
