quilt

I quilted the batik throw a couple days ago.  Now I can demote my crappy, torn, old patchwork couch quilt!



I used the free-motion foot with the feed teeth dropped.  I quilted long, wavy lines paralell to the shorter side that vaguely followed the block print stems.  Then I made a little paisley-shaped template from cardstock and quilted about 20 motifs spaced randomly over the quilt. 

The batting is bamboo and organic cotton.  The bamboo makes a nice drapey quilt.

capacitor and resistor

I got a picture of my capacitor and resistor.



They're posing with their pal Robot, whose anennas I just replaced.

The patterns are both from mochimochiland.com and they were quick and fun!

The best part was when my HB opened them and knew what they were.  Now I couldn't recognize a capacitor to save my life, but I guess my man is just nerdier than me!
