This week I finished my new summer skirts, which is not much of a feat, since they each took about 1 hour. But still, 3 cute new skirts, yay! I went thrift shopping and found a couple more elastic and drawstring skirts and a few maternity shirts so now I am feeling more prepared for becoming, um, larger.
I'm putting off sewing new shirts until May or June because I won't need them until then.
I ordered hats today from Jas. Townsend and I can hardly wait for them to arrive!
I want to take advantage of this week's Jo-Ann sale to look for linen for my man's new suit.
The next couple months' sewing agenda:
- Jeans: I re-drafted the pattern with cut and fit changes and fitted a mock-up. I plan to just make one pair at first to make sure it works (because denim is just too different from muslin), then I can move on to the other 4 or so that I have the fabric for.
- Knit dresses: I have two fabrics for new knit dresses. I checked Sewing With Knits out from the library and hopefully it will help giude me in sewing knits without a serger.
- 18th c suit for husband
- Chemise dress
