what lies ahead
Nov. 26th, 2011 08:42 amI'm looking ahead on my sewing list and I am not seeing much that interests me, and nothing really costumey.
Mostly I have a zillion pairs of flannel jammies to sew. My HB has requested multiple new pairs for annual gift day, plus I wouldn't mind a pair or two. Flannel has been secured and pre-washed; 3 pair have been cut out.
I really, really need skirts. I had to pitch one of the totally threadbare basic black ones for having finally gotten an un-mendable hole. I have a few fabrics and one skirt is about 1/2 sewn.
The Handmaiden lace scarf needs to be done by mid-Dec. so I can mail it. I am enjoying this when I actually get the chance to work on it.
I really ought to knit F some warm winter things. I already have the yarn and everything! I just can't bear to start a new knitting project before finishing the scarf, because the scarf has a deadline.
Probably some more annual gift stuff will need to get made. I might make F a plushie of some kind, but she's been getting a lot of stuffed animals from people lately so maybe not. I might make her something else, though, like an apron. Either of these would be more fun if I did not feel rushed.
I also have a silly plan to make felt tree ornaments. Why, I don't know. But it's fun and they are pretty.
There is an apron thing going on at Treadle, but I just don't think I can squeeze it in.
I need about 4 sewing days between now and gift day, otherwise I think I can get most of this done during naps.
