Finished the rayon challis and bundled it straight off to Treadle, so I didn't get a photo.  It's on one of our lovely vintage dressmaker's dummies, so maybe the 'finished' photo won't be with me in it.  The dress form is a bit small, so the hips of the dress hang a bit limply, plus the whole thing wrinkled a bit on the way there (riding in my bike basket next to my dinner) but it looks okay.

I'm starting to think this dress may just be one of those projects I make for the fun of it, because I have no idea where I would wear it.  I'd love to make a more casual/everyday rayon challis dress.  Anyway, this one is done.

I'm halfway through a spontaneous skirt I started yesterday (non-scheduled, gasp!) in this gorgeous printed eyelet which has been very popular at Treadle.  I'm flatlining it with pink shot cotton.  Photos forthcoming.

I'm planning to take my machine in for a basic tune-up, which in my world is a Big Deal since I don't usually do that (if it's not broke, don't fix it, right?) but I was chatting with Alan, the repair guy, at work, and he convinced me it's worth the trouble.

So now I'm trying to finish up all the current machine projects and prep a lot of stuff that can be hand-sewn later.  I'll probably drop the machine off this Tuesday, then it's 2-3 weeks until it's ready.
