Wassilissa the Beautiful

I love this book. I came to know it as an adult, but I think Russian Wonder-Tales is my favorite book of folk tales ever. It's creepy and weird and dark, but there are still happy endings.
I am so thrilled with the idea of the redwork embroidery at the hem of Wassilissa's dress. Plus, this costume has props, and as![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
jenthompson pointed out, props are awesome. I might go all out with the skull on a stick, and at the very least I will have to have the little wooden doll that carries her mother's blessing and helps her in all her trials.
