The last of the fascinators (for a while)
I finished the last couple and set up a little display at work to advertise my class.
I wanted to go simpler for this one, totally monochrome, everything self-fabric. It's silk noil.

I lined the petals; the are basically half-oval shapes. The flowers' centers are cut from selvage to reduce bulk.

Pretty monochromatic base again, with a folky-crafty wool felt medallion.

And the display, not as great as I imagined, but it works:

I'm glad I finished these, finally. Now I'm feeling totally overwhelmed again with all the crap I WANT to be sewing. (Snotty rhetorical question to self: Could we just work on sewing ONE project at a time, maybe? Mmmkay?) I'm taking the machine in for service this afternoon (missed the pickup last week) and I have a ton of hand-sewing laid out for myself. I'm hoping being without the machine for 2-3 weeks will help me to stay focused.
