I'm excited to see what you can do with your magnificent hair!
I am pretty uninspired by the low hairstyles too. It would be incredibly useful if I ever had to do that era, but I confess that I totally skimmed that half and I've been obsessed with all of the big hair tutorials. Why would anybody want to do early stuff when the later hair is so much more fun?
