little Dorothy
I know I should have saved this for when we are all dressed up for real, but this is done and I just feel like posting.

The blouse sleeves made me so annoyed. I tried to make them a delicate little puff, which (as you can see) failed. I don't know what happened! I took a basic sleeve pattern that fits her, slashed in the center, and spread for several inches to make a new pattern with lots of extra fullness. But when I gathered the sleeve cap, there was almost nothing to gather! It turned out so smooth instead of puffy.
I cut the waistband, straps, and top bodice binding on the bias, because that's what Dorothy has in the movie. I am the only person who will ever notice this, but it matters to me.
Next up: I am faced with the daunting task of cutting about 4 million little silver lame' stars and fusing them to poly organza.

You don't have a stuffed toto like animal do you? If you do I think I might die of cuteness overload.
