I'll be going to Costume Con this year as well. I go whenever it in the MidWest. It's always a fun time! It's at the same hotel that TeslaCon is held every year, so the staff are quite good with conventions. And there's generally a lot of historic costumers in the MidWest, so we always get a good turn out for the Historical Masquerade.
Competing is fun even when you know that you're not going to win. You get to see all of the best costumes close-up when you're backstage!
