I share a lot of stuff from work with you guys, and mostly it's just for the fun of it and because it's interesting. Today I am going to be really upfront about the fact that I am trying to sell you stuff. So feel free to skip.

We are having a big sale at Treadle, and every fabric in the store is discounted! Here is what's new and noteworthy for us costumer types:

Silk taffetas, including lots of shot ones. I won't pretend we can compete with the bargain warehouses price-wise, but this really is the good stuff, not thin and cheap like you get on ebay. You will definitely get what you pay for.



We have a new cotton organdy. This is the stiffest, most paper-like organdy I've seen, and I cannot wait to make some petticoat ruffles or a crisp 18th c cap out of it. It's also cheaper than you usually see for this quality, at only $9/yd.



Lace and beaded lace. We have tons of these.



Swiss dot, voile, and heirloom sewing cottons and linens.



Historic cotton repro prints. We have a lot of Moda and Kaufman lines.



There's so much more; lace, wool, linen, silk, and trims, and it's all discounted!

Do you have any burgundy/maroon/cranberry worsted or tropical weight wool? I'm looking to replace a much-loved but too-big-so-I-sold-it 18th century dress.

We have two lightweight wools in red right now, both more of a bright red. I will make a mental note to look again when our wool season starts in September. And I can photo the two we've got.

I'd love to see what you have now! Or if you have any other kind of jewel tone colors maybe? I do love me some red shades but I'm open to other ideas. And yeah...this time of year is not the best for winter fabrics :P

Great! I really liked the one fabricI called and ordered last year :).Two questions if you're willing to answer: how much do the silk taffetas run a yard? Any cotton dotted Swiss in colors other than white? Thanks!

I would say the range is about $22-35. Most of them probably closer to 30.
